Since 2005 the Body Building Association of Kerala (BBAK) has led Kerala to identify and recognize the finest athletes for Body Building Sport in Kerala and in National level as well as recognized by Indian Body Builder’s federation, recognized by Government of Kerala in 2013 by giving affiliation to all 14 District Body Building Associations. Proudly announces, more than 2000 Body Builders, including women athletes takes part form all Districts of Kerala to their respective District Championships and the winners form each districts in all categories consists of more than 500 athletes who takes part in State level competitions organized annually, conducted and managed by BBAK or its affiliated District Units. BBAK is fortunate to have Shri. Chitharesan Natesan, Mr.Universe Champion 2019, Shri. Shinu Chouva Silver Medalist in World Physique Championship held in 2019. BBAK is proud to have more than 23 National Judges, 26 State Judges as officials and n’number of qualified Physical Fitness trainers who promote or popularize Body Building across the length and breadth of Kerala on voluntary basis by contributing their valuable Time, Tiredness and Talent toward supporting our primary mission. It is proud to say that, there are more than 1800 Gymnasiums / Fitness Centers across Kerala has taken affiliation to BBAK through all District Units who take part in yearly District or State Championships/ competitions and various Universities as well in Kerala. Further to add, BBAK Officials led by Shri. T. V Pauly (Arjuna Awardee), General Secretary also takes dynamic leadership in conducting Body building competitions organised by Kerala State Sports Council for Kerala State Civil Services, Kerala State Police, Kerala Jail Department and Mr.Sportex Kerala organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Kerala. The main object of BBAK is to organize, promote, control and develop the culture of Body Building as a Game of Sport in Kerala, youth oriented, non-profit organizations which gives emphasizes on fitness related programs, while developing character and career in Fitness Field and to act as a sole controlling and governing body of the sport of Body Building in Kerala.
As the President of BBAK, I am humbled to lead such a diverse, committed group of Officials and athletes who make such a difference in our country. Proudly say that, our organization draws the best talent from Kerala to give them exposure in National / International Field and provide opportunities for youth in Kerala and India as well.
